Dragon’s Breath

Dragon Breath was a child opera that premiered on Nov. 16, 2023, at Samford Howard theatre. This play was in Develpment during 2020, and got approve by Evan Mack and Joshua McGuire. Kristin Kenning, who was the director of the play, says this opera will not only impact their art but their performance too. It follows the story of a 12-year-old boy named Alan who has to try to control his emotions while trying to fight a dragon. He has a fight with his parents, after that he gets transported to another world called clear plane, where Somi and DeWitt followed him on the journey to defeat the dragon. Later it was revealing the dragon was an Alan own angry, and throughout the show he learns to love his conflicts and his angry. So, I made my design with the boy in the middle, with sword in hand and back against the viewer facing the dragon. Made the eyes to represent the dragon’s eyes and blending it to the background. the background is setting into another world with alot of shading and darkness. I really hated the process but it turn out well
