The Wi-Fi Sucks

I really loved this design because it speaks to something that I personally experience on a regular basis—my frustration with Wi-Fi. Anyone who relies on a stable internet connection can probably relate to the constant struggle of dealing with Wi-Fi issues. It’s one of those everyday annoyances that can completely throw off your focus and productivity. There’s nothing more irritating than when you’re in the middle of a task—whether it’s working, streaming something important, or trying to communicate with someone—and the Wi-Fi suddenly drops or slows down. It's almost as if the connection decides to suck the life out of the moment, and it's maddening.

Rather than just letting this frustration build up, I thought, 'Why not turn this feeling into something creative?' So, I decided to take this everyday annoyance and transform it into a design that could not only represent my personal experience but also resonate with others who face the same struggle. The concept behind the design is meant to capture that sense of powerlessness we often feel when our Wi-Fi fails us at the worst times. The visuals in the project embody the way technology can sometimes feel like it’s just sucking the energy and time out of us, leaving us stuck in a cycle of frustration.

Through this design, I wanted to take something that could easily be considered a nuisance and give it a visual narrative. It became a way for me to express the universal struggle with technology in a way that’s both humorous and relatable, while also turning an annoying experience into something I could laugh about. In the end, this project not only allowed me to creatively express my feelings but also gave me a way to communicate a shared frustration that so many of us encounter in our digital lives.
